Low Impact Development (LID) features mark this site as a “must see”. The site features pervious pavement – layers of porous concrete and crushed stone that completely eliminate water run-off, a rain garden, and an active landscape design that functions to reduce runoff, screen traffic noise, and provide ingredients for Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream’s distinctive ice cream flavors.

Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream was the first business in Snohomish County to receive the official stamp of approval from the Snohomish County Sustainable Development Task Force for it’s environmentally friendly operation, construction, and design.
