This project was Built Green's first 5-Star Remodel.
Other green features: Site Reduced energy consumption: - increased thermal value of house envelope, - Energy Star appliances, - increased natural lighting. Reduced water consumption: - landscaping - natives, drought-tolerant, and wildlife-friendly, - rainwater cistern, - dual-flush toilets. Extensive use of salvaged and recycled materials: - oak flooring and cedar decking, - framing, - doors and hardware, - wood trim, - countless finishes (mirrors, secondhand glass tiles, etc.). Low toxic materials and finishes throughout. |

| From 15th Avenue West: take Magnolia Bridge (same exit for Terminals 90-91) (south of Interbay Golf course). Go all the way up the hill; at top of hill stay in left lane to follow Magnolia Blvd W; go about 0.3 mile. At stop sign, turn left onto W Howe St, then left on Magnolia Blvd W; go about 1.1 mile. Take left onto W Raye St; go about 0.3 mile. At bottom of hill, make sharp right onto Perkins Ln W. House is 2nd on right. The driveway is very steep and narrow. Please park on the street if possible. | |
