The Yakima River Solar Station (YRSS)
is
located at 98006 Northstar PR NE in West Richland, Washington. YRSS is owned by
Vic and Traci Parrish. It is a 6kW photovoltaic generator net metered to Benton
Rural Electric Association. YRSS employs an SMA Sunny Boy 6000 inverter and two
16 panel arrays of Mitsubishi MF170EB3 modules. All materials were purchased
from AEE Solar with significant help from Brad Bassett. YRSS and other energy
efficient features were designed into the new Parrish family home powered by
YRSS. These features include water source heat pumps, high efficiency
insulation and windows plus energy efficient appliances. Construction was
completed on January 13, 2006. The design and construction team consisted of
Vic Parrish, Gary Day, Chad Cook, Brent Chigbrow and Brad Bassett. The project
has generated 25 MW-hrs since commissioning representing about 70% of
