Solar Washington Presents
The Chelan County Solar Tour
Sponsored Locally by our Corporate Member
This is a "Virtual Tour" at http://www.chelanpud.org/SNAP-projects.cfm. Click on a "Project Name" to view project information and a photo.
Sites in Chelan County are all participants in the Sustainable Natural Alternative Power (SNAP) program. Chelan County PUD encourages customers to become solar and wind power producers in the SNAP program by connecting to the District's electrical distribution system. PUD customers voluntarily pay a little more on their bills each month to support SNAP generation.
Even if you don't install an alternative
power source, you can still be an important part of the solution by becoming a
SNAP Purchaser! Click on the SNAP logo above for more information.
Thirty schools and seven nonprofit agencies in the SNAP program received start-up funding from the Alcoa Community Solar Endowment. There are also eight private producers.
Complete information is available on the PUD’s Web site.
